CRISIS MANAGEMENT PLANNING AND EVALUATION PAPER INSTRUCTIONS
You will evaluate the Virginia Department of Education: Model School Crisis Management Plan using the questions listed below. The synthesis and evaluation of the model crisis management plan will aid in your understanding of crisis management in schools and the role of the professional school counselor before, during, and after a crisis.

Your paper must be 4–5 pages; it must also be double-spaced and must use 12-point Times New Roman font. Your paper must be in current APA format.

o How can school counselors collaborate before, during, and after a crisis?
• Crisis plan critique
o What are strengths and weaknesses that you perceive of the Commonwealth High School Crisis Management Plan? What are strengths and weaknesses that you perceive of the Jefferson County Public Schools Crisis Management Plan?
o Do you agree with all that was discussed?
o What thoughts or suggestions do you have for improving crisis response in these (or any) school systems?
