• Evaluation looking at “them” through the Emotional Intelligence lens
• Personal takeaways as a leader
• References slide

I encourage you to remember, that the entire lesson that you are presenting needs to be clear through your presentation. The lesson must be obvious to those of us reviewing it. It is much more likely than not that it will take an average of 10 – 12 slides to fully communicate a solid “lesson” to your classmates and earn you full credit. This does not mean that the slides should be wordy; however, the slides should tell the whole story.  Some students are getting more tech savvy and have even added audio to the presentation though it is not a requirement. The advantage of the audio is that it provides the ability to communicate your lesson with less slides. If you choose to not use audio, then you must rely more heavily on the Power Point slides to communicate the full story. If you do choose to supplement with audio, please do not read the content of your slides word for word. The key here is that you are supplementing the slides not reading them to us. If you choose to not use audio, then you must rely more heavily on the Power Point slides to communicate the full story.  This does not mean that the slides should be wordy; however, the slides should tell the whole story.

In either case, do not write full paragraphs of script on slides.

If you are not familiar with the tools and techniques for preparing a well-developed Power Point, please research that topic on the web. It is highly recommend that you test out your Power Point to ensure that things work as you intended & that you utilize tools such as spell check before you submit it.  You will be graded on the quality of your presentation’s delivery as well as its content.

Also, remember that within your Power Point, you can take us to other websites. For instance, you can link us to video clips or articles that add important additional information for us to review. However, do not rely on these outside sources as the main tool for presenting the “lesson” – that is your job to do.
