Please answer the following questions: PLEASE BE GRAMMATICALLY CORRECT, AND DO NOT USE ANY OTHER OUTSIDE SOURCES. ONLY USE THE READINGS PROVIDED. PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE A INTRO NOR CONCLUSION.
You do not need to use all the readings, but please use them in answering the following questions.
How is group identity formed, and what are its consequences? Compare and contrast the ways that the authors we have read explain how identity is created and the different forms that it can take. Which of the theories is most convincing? Be sure to discuss how competing theories might explain the same situation in different ways and to use examples from at least two different countries to support your argument.
Using specific examples from the course readings, write a 3-4 page essay responding to the above prompt. All responses must be typed and double-spaced, using 12-pt Times New Roman font (or similar), and 1-inch margins. Do not insert extra lines between paragraphs. You do not need a title for your essay.
You may cite any of the course readings in your response. You may not use any outside readings or sources in preparing your essay. You may refer to ideas covered in course discussions in your essay. There is no need to cite these ideas. Your essay should contain a clear thesis statement and evidence in support of your thesis from the course readings. Please make sure that you give yourself time to review your essay for grammar and spelling errors, and to edit your essay for precision and clarity.
