Instructions
For this assignment, write a literature review in which you summarize, analyze, and synthesize at least five sources that you have located in your independent research about your topic. At least three of these sources must be academic: peer-reviewed journal articles, books from an academic press, drafted reports, etc.
At this point in the semester, you should have a sizeable number of sources (books, articles, websites, videos, audio clips, etc.) about your topic. Your task in this assignment is to narrow your pool of sources and uncover the patterns of ideas contained in these sources. What are the types of questions that these authors ask, how do they answer those questions, what kinds of evidence do they use, and are there problems that remain unresolved in the existing research? To answer these questions, you will first need to construct a clear outline that maps out the ideas explored by each author. This will then allow you to determine the structure for your literature review.
The literature review should be organized as an essay with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion. Your introduction should define your topic, explain your organizational strategy (how you selected and categorized the sources), and offers a thesis about what the connections between your sources and their relationship to your topic. The body paragraphs should summarize and synthesize your sources and make connections between them based topics, arguments, methodologies, evidence, etc. Finally, your conclusion should offer an evaluation of the sources, identify gaps in the research, and explain how you plan to contribute to the conversation with your research project.
Your literature review should be 3-pages long and use standard MLA-style to cite your sources and format your document: typed, double-spaced, one-inch margins, 12-point Times font, etc. You should also include a MLA-style Works Cited page that lists all of the sources discussed in your literature review.
Evaluation
A successful Literature Review will:
make an argument about the connections between your sources and their relationship to your topic.
introduce and maintain a clear organization for the document.
quote, paraphrase, and summarize effectively from source texts.
provide context so your argument is understandable to a reader who has not read the source texts.
be well-organized, free of grammatical errors, and avoid plagiarism.
include a MLA-style Works Cited page.
3 full pages with 5 paragraphs including introduction and conclusions plus a fourth page which is work cited.

Between 200 and2016, the US experienced remarkable changes internationally and domestically. By any measure, the terrorist attack of Sept. 11, 2001, was a game changer. With that a long, still-ongoing “war on terror” began that meant military engagements overseas and increased domestic security measures. In 2008, remarkably, the US elected its first African American president, Barack Obama. He was elected to a second term in 2012.
Choose and discuss one of the following two topics related to American history under Presidents Bush and Obama:
Discuss the Sept. 11 (2001) attack and its impact.
Describe what stands out to you (perhaps from memory) from the events of Sept. 11, 2001
Give two examples of events or changes since 9/11 that you attribute to that terrorist attack. In your view, what should we learn from this attack and our experiences trying to deal with it.
Identify the source(s) where you read about these free trade issues of that time.
Discuss president Obama’s election and presidency. (Considering our many explorations of race relations and Civil Rights in our history, there is much that can be said of President Obama’s election and presidency, and it is still perhaps too early to evaluate fully.)
Identify two specific examples that you think were the most important developments of Obama’s presidency.
Explain why you chose those two examples.
Identify the source(s) where you read about these changes of the early 21st Century.

Human beings are fundamentally social. In this discussion, we will consider connection—from attraction to dissolution, and liking to love—by providing advice regarding various relationship concerns.
To inform your thinking on this topic, begin by reading “Transmission of Aggressions through Imitation of Aggressive Models” (Bandura, Ross, & Ross, 1961), “”From Jerusalem to Jericho”: A Study of Situational and Dispositional Variables in Helping Behavior” (Darley & Batson, 1973), “Bystander Intervention in Emergencies: Diffusion of Responsibility” (Darley & Latane, 1968), “The General Aggression Model: Theoretical Extensions to Violence, (DeWall, Anderson, & Bushman, 2011), “Group Inhibition of Bystander Intervention in Emergencies” (Latane & Darley, 1968), and “Understanding the Psychology of Bullying: Moving Toward a Social-Ecological Diathesis-Stress Model” (Swearer & Hymel, 2015).
Then, imagine that you are an educator.  Describe a hypothetical incident of observed antisocial behavior (bullying, relational aggression (i.e., “mean girls”), etc.).  Interpret relevant social psychological theory and research to explain the case study you outlined, and assemble key insight from research on prosocial behavior to generate a plan for addressing this specific situation.
Your initial post should be 500-1000 words in length and must contain at minimum required course resources as applicable.  Additional credible references are encouraged.

For this assignment, you will write a paper to discuss emotional reactions. In your paper, provide an illustration of a specific emotional reaction of a situation you were in. Then explain the emotional reaction using two different theories of emotions discussed in Chapter 7. Finally, provide an argument for which of the two theories offers a better explanation of the emotional reaction. Your paper should  cite specific examples that provide detailed analysis incorporating reading and textbook material. If outside sources are used, proper citation of the source should be included.
The goal of this assignment is to adapt your topic to the audience (your classmates), use a clear organizational pattern, and present an extemporaneous paper.

Wikis for Learning and Collaboration
A wiki is a collaborative web site that collects and organizes content, created and revised by its users. The most well-known example is Wikipedia. Wikis are a way to grow a knowledge base around a particular content area, be it best practices in a particular field or how to use a specific piece of hardware/software. A hallmark of Web 2.0 is that it improves as more people use it and this approach underlies wiki-based learning. It is based on the idea that within any enterprise, a great deal of knowledge exists among the members. Sharing this knowledge and information can raise the organization’s intelligence level, be it a university, an association, a corporation or club.
How basic discretion steps can help in countermeasures?
Conduct your own research and post a short relevant summary of your findings. ( Post current information, not older than five years ). Use not more than three (3) references.
