LIONS BEFRIENDERS CHARITY GOLF 2019

Lions Befrienders will be holding its Charity Golf event on 8 March 2019 (Friday), at Singapore Island Country Club (New Course). We would like to invite you to join us in this charity event and to help fight social isolation amongst the seniors in Singapore.

Singapore is one of the fastest ageing societies in the world. By 2030, one in four (> 900,000) will be aged 65 and above. It is projected that one in every three elderly needs some form of eldercare service. The dependency ratio will hit 2.3 in 2030 compared to 4.7 in 2016 and 6.9 in 2006. We invite you to join us in fighting social isolation as we continue to serve our seniors and enhance their well-being in their twilight years.

Through this event, we can provide an array of activities to help our seniors lead a meaningful and quality life. We hope to raise awareness, among the golfers and guests, of the lonely and vulnerable seniors in the community, and the importance of extending a hand of friendship to support them.
