You are the human resources (HR) manager for a public organization and you are conducting a New Hire Orientation session for all new employees. Last week, you analyzed the organization, including its strengths and weaknesses, as well as its mission, vision, goals, and objectives. This week, you have been asked to give a presentation on the business operations of the organization.

Instructions

Refer to the report you prepared on the organization for M1: Assignment 3.

Develop a PowerPoint presentation that accomplishes the following:

1. Create a diagram of the organizational structure showing the hierarchy and chain of command.
2. Develop a flowchart that analyzes the steps of the organization’s business processes.
3. Conduct a capacity analysis of the location(s) and logistics. Your capacity analysis should address both short- and long-term implications regarding all aspects of the business process, including storage, production, processes, costs, and accessibility.

Develop a PowerPoint presentation. In addition to the slides, include a detailed outline in the speaker notes section explaining the content on each slide. Be sure to support your responses using at least two scholarly sources from the Argosy University online library resources or the Internet. Cite the sources for your information.

Make sure your presentation adheres to the following Presentation Guidelines:

• Create a presentation that is professional and visually appealing.
• Include a combination of text and graphics.
• Do not write out your entire presentation on the slides. Use bullet points of keywords and short phrases instead of long sentences and paragraphs.
• Create your presentation (slides and speaker notes) using language that can be easily understood by the intended audience.
• Use APA formatting for your slides and Speaker Notes (outline).

Write in a clear, concise, and organized manner. Your response should demonstrate ethical scholarship in appropriate and accurate representation and attribution of sources (i.e., APA); and display accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Develop a 5–10-slide presentation (including the title slide and reference slide) in PowerPoint format. Apply APA standards to citation of sources. Use the following file naming convention: LastnameFirstInitial_M2_A2.ppt.

Grading Criteria

1. Select a country that has universal health care system provided by that country and provide some background information on this country. 
2. Compare the common features of that health care model to the health care system of the U.S. 
3. Compare the differences between the two (2) systems and identify the main contributing factor for the difference. 
4. Evaluate the effect of this system on the GDP of the foreign nation. 
5. Speculate how the system impacts the patient-physician relationship. 
6. Assess how the physician labor supply is impacted by the system and speculate on the impact of this on the physician supply over the next two (2) decades. 
7. Use at least five (5) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources. 

Nonfunctional Properties, Version Control, and Applied Architectures and Styles

Assume that you are still designing the online course management system that you worked on in previous assignments. Most of the major requirements of this system have been identified already, but there are several nonfunctional properties that have yet to be addressed that have a crucial role in the functionality of this system. In addition, you were informed that the funding for development is frugal. You believe that having some kind of software version control is essential, especially for the administrators of the system.

 Write a five to six (5-6) page paper in which you:

1.      Identify at least four (4) nonfunctional properties of the system.  

2.      Draw UML diagrams to explain the role of each nonfunctional property identified in Question 1 of this assignment through the use of graphical tools in Microsoft Word or Visio, or an open source alternative such as Dia. Note: The graphically depicted solution is not included in the required page length.

3.      Create a testing strategy for testing the nonfunctional properties of the system.

4.      Compare and contrast the architecture for the online course management system to that of another online system such as Amazon or eBay.

5.      Take a stance on whether or not software version control is critical to the development of this online course management system. Provide a rationale to support your answer. 

6.      List the available version control software solutions and recommend one (1) for this project. Provide a rationale to support your recommendation.

7.      Compare and contrast version control and configuration management regarding the roles and functionalities when a software system changes and / or a new system is adopted.

8.      Use at least four (4) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources. You may use the resources above or others of your choosing.

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

·         Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.

Assignment 2: LASA: PowerPoint Presentation—Training Program Design

Assume you have been hired as a training consultant by a medium sized technology company.  Your client company has asked you to develop and make a presentation for an employee training and career development program. The majority of the company’s employees are entry level programmers and developers and help desk technicians, but they also employ administrators and administrative assistants. The client company is looking for a training program which can be used for all of their employees. The goal of the training program is to introduce the new employees to the company, their culture, their product offerings and the company’s expectations. The training should also re-familiarize veteran employees to the company’s mission to create a sense of excitement towards carrying out the vision. 

Use the Training Program Design worksheet which is located in the Doc Sharingarea to design your training program.

After you have completed the Training Design Worksheet, use that information as a guide to develop a 15-20 slide PowerPoint presentation to present your training ideas to the client company. Make sure to include detailed speaker’s notes which provide adequate information on what you would say to your client if you were presenting this information in person. Incorporate at least three references to support the positions being presented. Apply APA standards for writing style to your work. Submit the PowerPoint presentation for grading.

Your PowerPoint presentation should include a title slide, a reference slide and address each of the following elements:

1. Training Description: Write 2–3 sentences that describes the training and a concise statement of the overall purpose of the training.
