You are required to write a 10–15-page Research Paper.

This assignment presents you with the opportunity to dig deeply into a particular topic of relevance to your course. You must have a thesis statement followed by a review of the literature that summarizes what others have written about your topic. Conclude your paper with suggestions for future research on the topic. Your paper must not read like an annotated bibliography, nor should it be a series of disjointed paragraphs; rather, the information must be synthesized and flow smoothly.

The 10–15-page requirement does not include the title page, abstract, and reference page. You must utilize at least 10 scholarly sources. Before submitting your Research Paper, you will submit a non-graded rough draft that serves as an accountability check for plagiarism. The order and length of your paper is as follows:

1.      Title page – 1 page

2.      Abstract – 1 page

3.      Body of the paper – 10–15 pages

4.      References page (10 scholarly sources)

    Discussion due by Thursday

    1. After completing the readings and viewing the media pieces assigned in this unit, select one dominant world health care paradigm, and locate a professional article or Web site related to your selected paradigm. Post a link to the piece for your peers. Make sure you explain how this piece relates to the chapter readings and why you selected it. Do so by Thursday.

    2. Consider the various characteristics of culture discussed in the unit readings and media pieces, and provide an analysis of U. S. education. Explain what aspects of intercultural communication you discovered, and then locate and post one example from any source available to you (Web site, link, article, media, graphic). (If you choose a personal photo, please attach a transcript thoroughly describing what appears in the photo.) Use this source to inform your peers of a specific aspect of education and culture. Post by Thursday.

    3. After completing the readings and viewing the media pieces for this unit, decide on a recent event (within the past two years), and post one example from any source available to you (Web site, link, article, media, or graphic). (If you choose a personal photo, please attach a transcript thoroughly describing what appears in the photo.) In a study of how the environment affects spending, researchers varied the presence of music and scents in a shopping mall. Interviews with shoppers who made unplanned purchases revealed the following average purchase amounts. Each group has about 100 shoppers.18

      Condition Mean Spending ($)

      None………. 64.00

      Scent………. 55.34

      Music……… 96.89

      Scent and music….. 36.70

      (a) If each group includes 100 shoppers, which group spent the most money in toto?

      (b) If medians summarized each group’s spending rather than means, would you be able to identify the group with the largest spending?

      (c) Did every shopper who was exposed to scent and music spend less than every shopper who was only exposed to music?

Topic: Analyze Samples, Power Analysis, and Design Sensitivity

      Instructions of Doing the Assignment

Download the G*Power software – See Attached Instructions in the last 2 pages, of how to down load the G Power Software, and then use the software to submit the following

      1. Calculate the sample size needed given these factors:

      · one-tailed t-test with two independent groups of equal size

      · small effect size (see Piasta, S.B., & Justice, L.M., 2010)

      · alpha =.05

      · beta = .2

      · Assume that the result is a sample size beyond what you can obtain. Use the compromise function to compute alpha and beta for a sample half the size. Indicate the resulting alpha and beta. Present an argument that your study is worth doing with the smaller sample (include peer-reviewed journal articles as needed to support your response).

      2. Calculate the sample size needed given these factors:

      · ANOVA (fixed effects, omnibus, one-way)

      · small effect size

      · alpha =.05

      · beta = .2

      · 3 groups

      · Assume that the result is a sample size beyond what you can obtain. Use the compromise function to compute alpha and beta for a sample approximately half the size. Give your rationale for your selected beta/alpha ratio. Indicate the resulting alpha and beta. Give an argument that your study is worth doing with the smaller sample.

      3. In a few sentences, describe two designs that can address your research question. The designs must involve two different statistical analyses. For each design, specify and justify each of the four factors and calculate the estimated sample size you’ll need. Give reasons for any parameters you need to specify for G*Power.
Support your paper with a minimum of 5 peer reviewed scholarly resources, Professional articles, or Books. The resources cannot be more than 5 years old, latest publication is 2014

Length: 5-7 pages not including title and reference pages.

G*Power: Statistical Power Analyses for Windows and Mac

G*Power is a tool to compute statistical power analyses for many different t tests, F tests, ?2 tests, z tests and some exact tests. G*Power can also be used to compute effect sizes and to display graphically the results of power analyses.

Problem 1 [30pts] a. [3 pts] We know that encryption provides confidentiality. Does it provide privacy? (Explain) b. [3 pt] SHA-256 was used to hash a message, such that SHA-256(“The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog”) = D7A8FBB307D7809469CA9ABCB0082E4F8D5651E46D3CDB762D02D0BF37C9E592. What should be SHA-256(“The quick brown fog jumps over the lazy dog”)? Explain your answer. c. [10 pts] List all the element of the set Zp for p=11. Does every element of Zp have an inverse? Why/why not? For those that do, 5 and 7 (‘cause they are relatively prime with 11) give the inverse for each. Problem 2 [40pts] The following strings are ciphertexts that have been encrypted using one of the classical cryptosystems that were discussed in Chapter 2. Each of them decrypt to an English sentence. Cryptanalyze each one and provide the decrypted plaintext as well as the secret key used to produce it. Explain the process you went through and include any script you used in the cryptanalysis process.

Strategic alliance and cooperative partnerships provide one way to gain some of the benefits

offered by vertical integration, outsourcing and horizontal mergers and acquisitions while

minimizing the associated problems, it is a formal agreement between two or more separate

companies in which they agree to work collaboratively towards some strategically relevant

      objectives. E.g.

? The Delta Airlines/Northwest Airlines merger

? Shell oil company and Pemex (Mexico’s state-owned petroleum company)

      ? Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance

      1. Determine how to capture the benefits and minimize the drawbacks of strategic

alliances and partnership to extend the scope of operations via international expansion

      and diversification strategies.

      2. Discuss the role of centralized and decentralized decision making in striking the right

balance between rewards and punishment in an ethical and unethical strategic alliance?

      3. Identify the key features of a company’s corporate culture that can influence the

      merger and acquisition?
