Select a great leader from your industry or an industry you are interested in joining. You should consider the following: in your current industry, there may be a position you aspire to join or you may have interest in joining another company that is more aligned with your goals and aspirations. 

Write a 10page biographical essay describing your leader. Consider including the following in your essay:

  • The personal or environmental factors that led to your leader’s successes and failures 
  • The relationships that led to your leader’s successes and failures 
  • The behaviors, including ethical behaviors, which led to your leader’s successes and failures 
  • The leadership style of your leader 
  • The influence your leader has in his or her industry

A Note about Biographical Essays: The key to writing a good biographical essay is good data collection.
