1.  Different Estimating Techniques Discussed
The 3-Point estimate: In this technique, the low of the project is defined by three sets of assumptions. They include setis optimistic estimate, pessimistic estimate and an estimate between the first two assumptions. This technique is more likely to estimate is the probable scenario between optimistic and pessimism estimation.
Analogy Estimate: This estimate is uses historical data or past project experiences to estimate the similar parameters in future activities. Examples of parameters used include range, duration, and cost. Requirements are previous data, project manager’s participation, and a project close to a current one. This estimation technique is simple and takes less time.
2.  How to Decide the Better Estimate
The project manager should consider every specific characteristic of the project under estimated. If the project is more complex or the risk is higher, the manager can use historical data (analogue estimate) to make the estimation purpose (Nagowah et al., 2016). For example, the project manager can use parametric estimation because it uses historical data.  The 3-point estimator follows the triangular distribution to compute simple average (Agar et al., 2018). However, the choice of the estimation depends on the situation at hand but the 3-point technique is the best.
3.  Which Estimate to Use
As the project manager, I would use analogy estimation because this estimation provides previous figures and facts for the project. This technique is simple but efficient in computing the duration required to complete the project. This technique solves complexities more effectively (Agar et al., 2018). However, a mixture of parametric estimation and analogue estimate would be more effective on a project that suits the combination.

Select a town, city, or state of your choosing. Review the government or nonprofit organization’s website associated with the finance and budget office for your selected province. Click the link below to see an example.
City of San Antonio. (n.d.). Budget and financial transparency. Retrieved from http://www.sanantonio.gov/Finance/bfi
After reviewing the government website for the location of your choice, provide your impressions of the agency’s transparency and thoroughness in revealing finance and budget accountability. Lastly, reference any forthcoming public projects that will need to be funded and what measures will be put in place to raise agency revenue (e.g., taxes, grants), and discuss how the public agency is accountable to the citizenry when using public funding.
The organization you select for this essay may be a nonprofit organization or a public office (e.g., police, or fire, emergency services; county services, such as schools). If you question whether your selected organization would fit the criteria of the assignment, contact the instructor.
Ensure your essay is at least three (3) pages in length, is double-spaced, and uses 12-point Times New Roman font with one-inch margins. Section headings are also encouraged to help organize your paper.
Your essay must be written using APA format. Be sure to include a title page and a reference page, but please note that these will not count toward meeting the minimum page requirement. All sources used, including the textbook, must be cited. Title and reference pages do not count toward meeting the minimum page requirements.
The purpose of this assignment is to gauge your understanding of the content, so focus on writing original content rather than simply regurgitating the textbook or other sources, whether by paraphrasing or using direct quotes. Paraphrasing is acceptable, but try to keep paraphrasing to a minimum. A good rule of thumb is to use 80% of your own work and to paraphrase 20% or less of the work of others.

A risk management plan is “a component of the project, program, or portfolio management plan describes how risk management activities will be structured and performed.” For the purposes of this class, the risk management plan will contain the potential risk events that could impact a project, risk analysis results, risk response plans, and the methods of monitoring risks.
The definition above is taken from the Glossary of Project Management Institute, A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, (PMBOK® Guide) – Sixth Edition, Project Management Institute Inc., 2017.
Risks are events that can impact a project; by focusing on these potential events, project managers and other stakeholders can reduce the impact of these events on the project. For example, a risk for a hardware replacement project could be that the technology may change prior to completion of the project. One way to reduce the impact is to have contract terms with the hardware vendor to obtain the newest hardware.
By completing the project risk management plan in class, you will be able to understand methods of identifying risks, performing risk analyses, determining risk responses, and monitoring risks.

Assignment: Write a literary essay (1,000-1,200 words) based on the memoir Greetings From Bury Park by Sarfraz Manzoor.
PLEASE DO NOT USE OUTSIDE RESEARCH FOR THIS PAPER. I WANT YOUR IDEAS SUPPORTED WITH QUOTES FROM THE MEMOIR.
Develop a thesis that answers ONE of the following questions and APPLY ONE OF THE LENSES FROM THE” LENSES FOR READING LITERATURE” HANDOUT:
1) How does the author use America and/or Bruce Springsteen and his music to show his struggles?
2) What role does the author’s father play in his son’s struggles?
These are starting points. You need to develop a specific, argument thesis statement and support your points with the text. For example I might use the following as my thesis if I chose question #1:
In the memoir Greetings From Bury Park by Sarfraz Manzoor, the author’s obsession with Bruce Springsteen and his music is used to show his desire for independence from his traditional family and his need to escape the confines he feels as a young Pakistani in Britain.
TIPS:
– Have a specific working thesis before you begin writing and utilize pre-writing techniques.
– Write as if the reader of your paper already knows the plot of the book you are writing about. Avoid plot summaries and focus on your ideas/analysis.
– Underline the title of the memoir.
– Use quotations/passages from the memoir to prove your points. Be sure and list the page number in parenthesis after your quote. If you are quoting text that is more than three lines, use MLA block style.
– Use present tense when describing story events.

The best reinforcement procedure is having a standard where you will never can

The best reinforcement procedure is having a standard where you will never can free a more prominent number of information that you can make inside your picked reinforcement rehash. Your hard drive may contain an immense number of archives. Immense quantities of them should be supported up every day, others just occasionally, and still others- – including temp archives, the hibernation record, and your program store – not at all. The fundamental importance of routinely backing up PC frameworks and data… additionally, of having the ability to restore any or all of them if there should be an occurrence of a framework power outage, gear disappointment, disastrous occasion or other data hardship. For a long time, regular reinforcements were typically done by making copies out of reports to alluring tape. This was typically a medium-term bundle work that ran when no other standard age work was arranged. Discontinuously – possibly once consistently – a full or complete reinforcement everything considered and frameworks would be made.
Partial Backups
These depend upon the nearness of full reinforcements made at customary between times, and the musing is to save time by help up only those records that have been changed, understanding that you starting at now have a reinforcement of the other, unaltered records to make sense of which archives have changed, the reinforcement date and time of each record on the framework, and if a record’s time the stamp is later than the last full reinforcement, that record is consolidated into the accompanying differential Backups.
Continuous backups
In the ceaseless reinforcement, you consequently get, on the plates in an alternate region, every adjustment of data that a customer saves. With this technique, you can restore data to some random point in time, up to and checking the last saved circle
compose and I/O undertaking prior to a disappointment. Customary unfaltering and differential reinforcements duplicate the entire records. Thus, CDP a significant part of the time needs less space on reinforcement media
Cloud backup
The fundamental worry of all PC customers should reliably be security, especially those that oversee sensitive client information. The online undertakings and the electronic reinforcement has been available, it has been exhibited that online limit isn’t simply verify anyway is protected, more reliable than fundamentally keeping the information on your office PCs or servers, notwithstanding when you perform. There are predominantly five motivations to utilize cloud reinforcement:
1. Computerization is more strong than individuals
2. No worries over the disastrous occasion
3. Protection if there should arise an occurrence of an accident
4. Reiteration strengthens security
5. Backing amid reconstructing

There are quite some backup types, and terms used when it comes to backups of o

There are quite some backup types, and terms used when it comes to backups of one’s digital content. The following is a collection of the most common types of backup:
1. Local Backup: A local backup is where the storage medium is close at hand.  Typically, the storage medium is plugged in directly to the source computer or connected through a local area network to the source.
Examples of Local Backups: Internal hard drive, External hard drive (desktop or portable), Optical drives like CDs, DVDs, and Blue-Ray discs.
Advantages:
a. Offers excellent protection from hard drive failures, virus attacks, accidental deletes and deliberate employee sabotage on the source data, which indeed provides fast backup and restore since the backups stored firmly.
b. Very cheap storage cost, when the right storage medium is in use as external hard drives.
c. Data transfer cost to the storage medium can be negligible or very cheap.
d. There is no need to consign the storage media to third parties as there is full control over the backup storage media and the security of the data on it.
Disadvantages:
Does not offer protection against theft, fire, flood, earthquakes, and other natural disasters as the backup are stored close by to the source. When any of these circumstances damage the origin, there’s a high chance the backup will also destroy.
2. Online Backup: A backup done on a continuous basis to a storage medium that always connected to the source is called an online backup. The term “online” refers to the storage device or equipment connected. Typically the storage medium is located offsite and connected to the backup source by a network or Internet connection.  It does not involve human interference to plug in drives and storage media for backups to run. Many commercial data centers now offer this as a subscription service to consumers. The storage data centers located away from the source is backed up, and the data is sent from the source to the storage center securely over the Internet.
Examples of Online Backups: Many commercial service providers are offering this as a subscription service and some market it under the term Remote Backup or Cloud Backup.
Advantages:
a. Online backup offers the best protection against fires, theft and natural disasters, which has a very low risk of data loss from hardware failure.
b. Data loss is very minimal compared to other backups that run less frequently because backups are frequent or continuous.
c. As everything is online, it requires little human or manual interaction after it is set up.
Disadvantages:
a. Online backups are more expensive than local backups.
b. Backups can be slow processing depending on Internet connection speed, and the amount of data backed up, traversing a few days or weeks.
Cloud Backup Strategy:
Cloud backup is a backup where data is backed up to a storage server or tools connected to the source via the Internet. The term “cloud” itself refers to the backup storage equipment being available from the Internet. With the proper authentication, the backup can be accessed securely from anywhere with an internet connection. For instance: Backup services provided by commercial data centers.
Uses:
a. Cloud backup can easily connect and access the backup with just an Internet connection. Data replicates across several storage devices and usually serviced by multiple internet connections, so the system is not at the aid of a single point of failure. When an excellent commercial data center provides the service, assistance is secure, and protection is exceptional.
b. Affordable for small businesses as they do not have unlimited IT budgets. It is essential to use a solution that makes sense and won’t require the customer to acquire a capital expenditure. For a few hundred dollars per year, customers can have all of their data backed up to the cloud.
c. Cloud backup allows the customers to have access to their data anytime and anywhere. As long as there is access to the Internet, through a computer or a smartphone app, all files are readily available. There is no need to have to travel around with a laptop or go back to the office to see that critical file.
d. Cloud backup does not need extra time consignment for the customer. Computer files are backed up to the cloud automatically and continuously, whenever the customer connects to the Internet.
I would like to conclude by saying that, backup strategies with necessary security measures are helpful for any user.

You will write two 2-page field experience report throughout course. Field Experiences ask you to step outside of your normal routines and have an experience that is new to you. All of the field experience options are outlined below.  Choose only 1 option to discuss.
This report asks you to integrate ideas from your chosen experience with concepts discussed in the course. As you write, be specific in referring to the ideas and reference the materials you discuss. When you refer to an idea in the text, you need to define it (so that I know you know what it means), and then explain why the experience is an example of that.
For example: If you choose to talk about identity you must first explain how identity is defined in our course materials. Then, try to connect the themes in your Field Experience to the concepts discussed in class.
Finally, as you go through your experience, consider the Scale of Intercultural Sensitivity (from Module 1) and reflect on it in relation to your experience. Where do you find yourself on the Scale?
Option 1:
Compare the coverage of one news story as covered in three different newspapers from a variety of places around the world. For example, you might read about the President Trump’s inauguration day as described in The New York Times, Der Spiegel, and Moscow Times. Then compare the coverage by thinking about the following questions: What, if anything, is different about the way the story is represented in the different sources? How does the “spin” on the story change across sources? What is the focus of the story as depicted in each source?
Option 2:
Visit an area where you live that is a gathering place for people different from your own cultural group, i.e. restaurant, place of worship, community center, etc.  How do you feel as a “foreigner” there?  Do you speak the language? What differences in communication (verbal and nonverbal) do you observe? What other differences do you notice?
Option3:
Watch a film that depicts another culture.** You could watch a documentary that explores a sub-culture in the United States or another culture in the world. You could also watch a foreign film from another culture. Think about the culture you are learning about. What themes from the film relate to what we’ve covered in class?
**International students – choose a film from a culture than your own or one that depicts a sub-culture within your own culture
Option4:
Similar to the film analysis, read a piece of literature from another culture or a sub-culture within your own culture.  What does it teach you about that cultures’ communication? What other aspects of the text connect to the themes presented in our class?
