The Estimating Problem1. How many different estimating techniques were discussed in this case? From the case study there are 2 cases being discussed as per the estimating techniques. as per my understanding 1 is the 3 point estimating where is this method is utilized to analyze the method of understanding implanted inside a guage. in this strategy. three evaluations are produced for the venture actually utilizing 3 unique arrangements. second is the analogous  estimation technique comparing to the estimation the system which utilize the estimations of parameters form the available information. the fallowing parameters are taken into consideration that is the scope, cost and term in this kind of estimation. Some of the more common techniques for estimating project activities and their strengths and weaknesses. The techniques will include Analogous, Parametric Modeling, 3 Point Estimate, Expert Judgment, drafted Data Estimates, Vendor Bid Analysis ,Reserve Analysis, Bottom Up Analysis, and Simulation. A discussion of estimating the cost of completing a project that is underway is addressed in the page on Earned Value Analysis. Finally, I will discuss how to estimate a project when the key boundary condition is the End Date or the Total Cost of the project and the effort is tailored to fit this constraint. 2. If each estimate is different, how does a project manager decide that one estimate is better than another?Accurate estimation  is a challenging task for every project manager in the scheduled activity of every project. The best basis for accurate estimates is to obtain the aggregate data   from the company’s previous projects. The next best basis for accurate estimation the manager would be following is too estimate the project stakeholders and team members who are experienced with similar projects  to do the estimates. The project `uses their knowledge and experience and employs techniques like three-point estimating to produce accurate estimate data. Project manager decide which estimate is better than other based on estimating  a stetting schedules, establishing budgets, managing resources and running a thriving team and business. based on which estimate can provide these more precisely can be identified as better estimate.3 . If you were the project manager, which estimate would you use? As a project manager i  would be preferring to use the bottom up estimation as it has the estimation used when there is huge insight about the movement. A point-by-point evaluation of the assets, abilities, and sums are used to decide an cost evaluate. As this is  the most precise strategy that is being used. If I am a project manager I would choose analogy estimate. Analogy estimate is carried out based on data on the project. It has the potential to substantially increase the organization’s project success rate from raising incrementally. it is much better than using pretend numbers that are politically attractive at the beginning of the project but disastrous at the end.Project Estimation should consider validation of project performance as measured against the plan for purposes of evaluating estimate accuracy and ensuring proper methodology is utilized. Metrics based on comparison of project estimates and corresponding actuals should also be utilized when making decisions regarding estimates of remaining or future work.ReferencesKerzner, H. (2013). Your task is to write methods in JAVA for a program that analyzes an arbitrary

Your task is to write methods in JAVA for a program that analyzes an arbitrary number of strings passed as arguments on the command line. Like with many large projects, some of the code has been written for you, and you are not allowed to change it. Instead, you are constrained to filling in certain methods, that must operate to fulfill not only individual-method unit tests, but tests that cover larger swaths of code.As an example, consider that a user calls the program from the terminal without any arguments:$ java edu.wit.cs.comp1050.PA3aPlease supply at least one argument at the command line. That is, you will be writing verification that there is at least one argument supplied! Now let’s consider a valid example:$ java edu.wit.cs.comp1050.PA3a hello world!Arguments (2, no duplication): hello world!Length: total=11, avg=6Shortest (5): Longest (6): Average (6): Now you can see the program in action, but perhaps not all the pieces, so another:$ java edu.wit.cs.comp1050.PA3a I see a little silhouetto of a man Scaramouche Scaramouche will you do the Fandango Thunderbolt and lightning very very fright’ning meArguments (22, has duplication): I see a little silhouetto of a man Scaramouche Scaramouche will you do the Fandango Thunderbolt and lightning very very fright’ning meLength: total=113, avg=5Shortest (1): first=, last=Longest (11): first=, last=Average (5): noneThe program produces outputs that counts the overall and average length (rounded to the nearest integer), checks for duplication, and outputs the first and last arguments that have the shortest, longest, and average lengths. The following methods have been implemented completely, and you are NOT to change them:·        main: validates input, produces program output·        firstOfLength/lastOfLength: call a common utility method (that you WILL implement) to find an element of a particular length·        firstLongestElement/lastLongestElement: call a common utility method (that you WILL implement) to find the longest element·        firstShortestElement/lastShortestElement: call a common utility method (that you WILL implement) to find the shortest elementThe remaining methods must be implemented by you, as guided by the Javadoc and JUnit tests.

Write a 3 page essay on Shackletons Artic Adventure.when Ernest Shackleton, an Irish born explorer, distinguished himself, not only among the masses, but also among the 27 crew members that included scientists, officers and seamen. Shackleton earned the respect shown to him by these men, not to mention the respect of millions today, by serving as an able leader putting his men’s wellbeing, both physical and mental, above everything else (WGBH, 2001).Repeatedly during the expedition, the Endurance crew members faced fatal situations, yet every time, they were able to beat the odds and survived. Although some of their success can be attributed to providence or luck, but Shackleton’s leadership is widely regarded as the critical differentiation.Put your people first. While Shackleton was leading the expedition to be the first to reach the South Pole, he himself and his crew members suffered a great ordeal that eventually made them weak. Shackleton realized that a further push would be equivalent to putting their life at risk. That is why he chose to turn back, even though he knew that being the first to reach the South would bring hi everlasting fame and glory. Alongside the strong desire to lead to the expedition, his sense of responsibility for his men was impeccable. This decision of Shackleton gave his crew members the confidence that their lives would not be sacrificed as a means for meeting the goal of the expedition.Be flexible in tactics. While the elementary goal to survive remained paramount, Shackleton remained intelligently flexible in the strategies that he adopted to achieve the goal. His adaptability to the demanding environments was incredible and that is what gave him strong control over the expedition and fostered zeal within him making him believe that he would be able to bring all 27 crew members safely back home.Choose your people carefully. The recruitment notice posted by Shackleton itself speaks for his honesty. He knew about the uncertainties that are inevitable during the journey

Write a 1 page essay on 3.Describe a scenario in which you would use the custom reports feature under the Reports menu in the MS Project 2010 Project View. The customs feature permits users to develop customized and pre-defined reports. Additionally, in MS Project 2003, one can easily locate the report link under the section of View | Reports. In MS Project 2007, similar features are found in Report | Reports. When users choose these reports link, a dialog box with unique custom features pops up. The customs feature may be used when users want to view details of their plans in varied ways (Schwalbe, 2011).A solitary report may entail a dynamic mixture of textual content, charts, and tables. Dissimilar to many views in MS Project, a story resembles a blank canvas where you can place any elements. The features include charts and tables that emphasize on information that interests users (Schwalbe, 2011). The custom features, similarly, helps users to develop particular information needs for the corresponding projects. The custom feature allows the execution of numerous functions that would otherwise be bulky and daunting. The individual features make report creation a simple

Complete 2 page APA formatted essay: Mental health : The possible causes of hearing voices and the problems faced by people who hear voices. One of the reasons due to which individuals hear different voices that do not really exist is that they have experienced a traumatic event at a certain point in their lives. These traumatic events include: being bullied at school or workplace, changing schools frequently, loosing a loved one such as family members or intimate partners, experience of abuse or having experience of observing an abusive act, stress of work and being victimized of certain criminal activity (LARKIN, 2006, p.162). Such events leave a negative mark on individuals and such events change how individuals and other view them. The thoughts of such events and people have been linked with hearing super natural voices (MCCARTHY, 2012, p.296).Hearing voices have even been linked to the religious world, in such cases people report that they have been in communication with a higher being such as god (SCHMIDT, 2000, p.100). Such an act may change the life of an individual and person experiencing such events may believe that he/she is destined to fulfill the commands of God or a higher being. People experiencing such activities may start operating in accordance to the messages they have received from a particular voice such as the voice of God or Evil (GLAS, 2007, p.323).The physical health of an individual has always been linked with the emotional and cognitive health of an individual, hearing non-existing voices have been linked with people who experience some kind of physical impairment or injury (CAMPBELL, 2012, p.43). The same activity has even been linked with people who do not get enough sleep or fear events and situations. Certain cognitive disorders have even been linked with the act of hearing voices, for example: people suffering from anxiety disorders may end up hearing voices that may warn them of certain places and events and due to these voices, individuals do not take the risk of conducting

Complete 4 page APA formatted essay: If you were a legislator in the New York S

Complete 4 page APA formatted essay: If you were a legislator in the New York State Legislature, would you vote to uphold or repeal this latest tax increase Why.The NY excise tax increase is now considered the highest excise tax imposed by a state on cigarettes and tobaccos (NCSL 2010 p. 2). Opponents of the tax increase argue that it is inherently regressive because it affects the ‘have-nots’ more than it does the ‘haves.’ Furthermore, these increases are said to be defeating their purpose, which is to raise revenues, because they can drive away potential customers who may altogether quit smoking or who may use backdoor sources to obtain their fix. On the other hand, proponents of the tax measure, specifically the legislators, contend that it will help keep New York sustain and maintain its health care programs (Confessore 2010). The biggest argument, however, for the measure comes from health advocates and researchers who are extolling the tax increase as a vehicle for compelling smokers to quit the habit and ultimately saving more lives. If I were a member of the New York Legislature, I too, would have supported and voted for the passage of the latest round of excise tax increases on cigarettes and tobacco because it will ultimately redound to the good and welfare of the public. First, it is good for the public health because of the possibility of reducing smoking prevalence especially of the young, who are unwilling or unable to shoulder the rising cost of the habit, and. second, if it could not compel a significant number of smokers to quit, then the government will get to achieve its purpose of raising revenues to fund its health-related programs. That smoking is deadly not only to the person smoking but also to the people around him is already an established fact. This is evinced by the 1998 Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement (MAS) where top tobacco and cigarette producers agreed to compensate, in perpetuity, billions of dollars to a considerable number of states for the costs expended by the latter in the care of individuals suffering from smoking-related illnesses (A Broken Promise to our
