Your team is consulting with a local manufacturing company that has 1,200 employees and is the third largest employer in the area. When averaging all of the manufacturing employees’ salary divided by the market midpoint, the organization has a 0.90 compa ratio, meaning that on average employees earn 90% of the market rate.
Your firm has been asked to propose three approaches for management to consider:
increasing base pay
Using the current sales and profit trend, the company has the ability to increase compensation spending by 4% annually for the next three years.
Create a 3 to 5-slide Microsoft® PowerPoint®, Prezi, or Microsoft® Sway® presentation in which you use at least one cited source, consistent with APA guidelines, to address the situation and:
propose a plan for each of the three approaches
make a final recommendation
The presentation should include graphics and speaker notes on each slide that script what would be said if this information were to be presented in person.

Strategic management focuses on gaining and sustaining a competitive advantag

Strategic management focuses on gaining and sustaining a competitive advantage using formulation, implementation, and evaluation of cross-functional decisions to achieve organizational objectives (David & David, 2017).  In order to accomplish this, three stages are used: strategy formulation, strategy implementation, and strategy evaluation.  Strategy formulation starts with developing a vision and mission statement, creating a SWOT analysis, deciding on long-term objectives, coming up with strategies to accomplish the objectives, and choosing which strategies to pursue.  Strategy implementation involves taking the strategies decided in the formulation stage and pursuing them in smaller stages such as year increments by allocating resources, motivating employees, preparing budgets, and creating policies.  Strategy evaluation is checking up on the strategy to determine what strategies are working and what strategies need modified.  Evaluation is done on a continuous basis as factors are changing constantly both internally and externally.  Using these processes, our Strategic Plan can be successful for our organization.  First, it will be critical to decide if your plan is to enter a market, expand your business, or merge/acquire another business.  Then, you must create a SWOT analysis to understand the internal and external factors that affect the success/failure of your business.  After this, strategies will need to be thought through to determine which strategies will work best for your type of business.  These strategies will need to be broken into smaller, more attainable goals and decide how to get these goals accomplished.  Lastly, all of the strategies need to be evaluated to determine if they are working or if they need to be adjusted to accomplish the strategy.  Using these processes will allow your business to produce above average returns because it will remind you to evaluate the strategies you are implementing on different time frames to see if what you are doing is working.  For example, I work in the insurance/investment sales business.  If I followed these processes, I would be able to decide if I should focus on current clients or look at a new market of clients to reach out to based on a SWOT analysis.  After this, I would need to decide my timeline for reaching out to the clients and what products I want to propose to them after researching their situations.  Lastly, I would need to evaluate the strategy monthly to see if the clients are coming in based on the work I am doing for them.

Strategic organization is all about the premeditated tactics reissuing the better planning for the much more effective overall functioning of the organization. Too, strategic planning essentially denotes to a company’s overall awareness equipped for corresponding to the internal strengths and weaknesses altogether regarding its performance. On the other side of the token, strategic controlling method is serving an important role during the implementation process, while the strategic plan of a company is in full force. Moreover, strategic management process contains three stages, 1) strategic planning, 2) strategy implementation, and 3) strategic control. David, F. R. & David, F. R. (2017)
The example for the first stage has a lot to do with setting a correct starting plan to succeed in it. Hence, Houston Methodist Hospital started using new CPR machine, but the plan behind is very poorly organized and the machine its self needs lot ,more testing done before they start using it to save people lives. This is an example of the poorly organized the plan. The example for the second stage, Houston Methodist Hospital needs to put the arrangements and steps into an actual work practice learned from the first stage. The example of the third stage has a lot to do with implementation of the plan itself. Once the implementation of the CPR machine is fully developed, Houston Methodist Hospital must uphold the strategic control of it. So that, in case of any inconsistencies from the anticipated outcome, this company needs to learn how to interconnect a new strategic plan without discrediting this device immediately.

Organizational culture “provides guidance, whether intentional or de facto, on what is done (or is not), how it is done (if it is), and why it is or isn’t done (Conner Partners, 2010).  There are several different factors to consider when looking at organizational culture within my Strategic Plan such as recruitment of additional employees, effective training for employee success, being a role model for other employees, providing positive reinforcement when sales are made or clients are added, and mentoring when sales don’t occur (David & David, 2017).  Additional employees under myself allows for me to make additional commissions.  Training other employees to be their best allows for more clients to be added and sales to be made, again, increasing my commission.  Role modeling to other employees how to act ethical and look at the best decisions for the clients’ financial plans will gain the employees respect and trust and allow them to look out for the clients’ best interest which will allow them to make the sales easier.  If you provide positive reinforcement when the good things happen, the employees will keep preparing for the sale in the same way as before which keeps having positive results.  Mentoring the employees when something doesn’t go correctly just allows the employee to ask questions about why the strategy they went about didn’t work and to understand what to do differently the next time.  Ultimately, when the organizational culture is working in harmony, sales will increase from clients and this will end up increasing my commission.

Today, it is clear that evidence-based practice continues to result in tremendo

Today, it is clear that evidence-based practice continues to result in tremendous patient outcomes.  Melynk and Fineout-Overholt (2015) discuss that as with any scope of the healthcare field, evidenced-based practices heighten ethical concerns.  Some of the ambitions hidden in the advancement of evidence-based practice are, at the core, ethical (p. 515).  However, it is critical to consistently ensure the protection of personal rights in those subjects involved in research studies.
Methods
In order to protect the personal rights of human subjects involved in research studies, it is vital for providers to be aware of the federal regulations and policies that are in place.  Bierer, Barnes, and Lynch (2017) explain that the research with human subjects is funded by federal agencies and is controlled by a set of regulations and methods that were created in order to protect study participants while facilitating the advancement of research (p. 784).  These federal regulations assist in protecting basic human rights, such as beneficence, and help in defending vulnerable populations from experiencing harm.  Furthermore, the Institutional Review Board must grant approval for the research study to commence.  Bierer, Barnes, and Lynch (2017) explain that the Institutional Review Board must meticulously review the ethics and appropriateness of a proposed research project and the participation of the enlisted human subjects (p. 786).
It is also essential to identify vulnerable human subjects that are involved in a research project.  Clark and Preto (2018) discuss that vulnerability has emerged and is identified in research as one’s inability to defend one’s own best interests, awareness to harm, and various determinants to one’s determinants of health (p. 308).  Providing patients with a thorough education and pertinent handouts regarding the details of the study is key.  Bierer, Barnes, and Lynch (2017) explain that individuals that are registered in a research study must be given a comprehensive understanding of the risks, benefits, and other pertinent information (p. 784).
Conclusion
It is critical to consistently ensure the protection of personal rights of those individuals enlisted in a research project.  Davis (2018) emphasizes that in order to protect human participants in research, organizations must follow policies for the protection of human research subjects.  Regardless of whether research takes place in medical or private facilities, human subject protection can only be guaranteed if the Institutional Review Board closely oversees the research it has approved (p. 92).
