Choose an Impressionist painting that intrigues or inspires you from one of the following artists:

Complete the following:

Identify the artist, the title of the artwork, and the date it was completed in the first paragraph.
Paste an image of the painting in your paper. Examples of each of these artists can be found in the textbook. (The images in the textbook are copyright-protected and cannot be copied. To find the exact painting, search the Internet by the artist’s name and the title of the work. Right-click and copy the image. Open a Word document and right-click and paste. If the image does not paste into your paper, try another image. Sometimes images are protected and cannot be copied. Wherever you do find the image, make sure to cite your source in APA style. Identify the following elements and how they characterize the Impressionist style:

Brushstroke
Light
Subject matter
Indicate specific areas in the painting in your explanation.
How does the Impressionist style differ from the style of Realism? Identify 3 distinct differences.
How does the Impressionist style differ from Post Impressionism? Identify 3 distinct differences.
Part 2

Using a camera or cellphone, take 3 photographs from your immediate environment that exemplify each of the following styles of art. Be creative!:

Realism
Impressionism
Post Impressionism
You can manipulate your photographs with any software effects to achieve the appropriate results. For example, you can take a photo of a friend or family member, and using software, blur the image to represent impressionism.

Include your 3 original photographs in your paper. (Save the photos to your desktop. If you use your phone camera, you can e-mail them to yourself. Open the image and right-click and copy. Open a Word document and right-click and paste.)

Answer the following questions in paragraph style:

Number each photo and identify the style it closely resembles. Explain the characteristics of each style that you tried to emulate.
What style of art would best be used to communicate a direct message? Explain
What style of art would evoke an emotional response? Explain.
Identify 3 examples of Realism in art or design that you see on a daily basis.
Describe a situation in which the style of Impressionism might best be used in art and/or design today?
In-text citations and a list of references are required when including or paraphrasing any idea, fact, date, or other information from the textbook or other references.

Conflict Resolution at the St. Clare Hospital

The St. Clare Hospital was founded in 1988. In the past few years, the revenues have dropped steadily to a point where CEO James Edwards is considering cost control to improve the organization’s bottom line. Mr. Edwards understands physicians play a critical role in controlling cost, but they do not have a great interest in cooperating with him to sustain the viability of the hospital. Mr. Edwards decides to hire Wendy Jones as the chief operating officer and empower her to cut costs for the hospital. The first measure taken by Ms. Jones is to outsource the interpretation of imaging readings and fire the radiologist Dr. Harris. By doing so, the hospital would save $160,000 per year. However, after two weeks, the hospital sees 18% inaccuracy rates in outsourced reading reports. The hospital might face legal liabilities from inaccurate readings. Mr. Edwards and Ms. Jones want to stay with the plan to control costs, but the physicians are furious. The medical director, Dr. Wiseman, gathers all staff physicians to a call for action. 

Write a four-to six-page double-spaced paper (excluding title and reference pages), addressing the following:

• Describe types of conflict identified in this case.
• Explain conflict management styles evidenced in this case.
• Propose a conflict resolution strategy to be used.  
• Recommend strategies to reduce cost and legal liabilities.

Including an introduction and conclusion paragraph, your paper must be four to six double-spaced pages (excluding title and reference pages) and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center. Utilize a minimum of three scholarly and/or peer-reviewed sources, including the textbook, that were published within the last five years. Document all references in APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center APA Checklist.

Health theories provide both a conceptual basis for public health programming and a framework to support its design, planning, implementation, and evaluation. They can explain why a health condition or issue might exist (explanatory theory) or what might work to mitigate a public health issue (change theory). Health theories are often integrated into health promotion models (Fertman & Allensworth, 2010). One theoretical health promotion model frequently used is the MAP-IT Model, developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for the Healthy People 2020 Initiative.

For this Discussion, choose a health theory from the Learning Resources that would apply to your SPP. Then, review the Healthy People 2020 document from the Learning Resources and consider how you would integrate this health theory into the MAP-IT Model that could be used for your SPP.

Post  3-4 pages of  description of the health theory that you are using in your Scholarly Project. Then, explain how your chosen theory would inform your use of the MAP-IT Model. Explain two benefits and two limitations of using the MAP-IT Model in your SPP.
